30 Days until Disney! We are getting soooo close now! We started our countdown calendar and paper chain on day 30, but I haven't taken any pics of them yet. I will have to share them in my next countdown post. For our 30 Days Until Disney Countdown Party, we chose Cinderella. Or I guess I should say Samantha and I chose Cinderella, the guys were good sports since they just had the Star Wars party! The first thing most people picture when they think of Disney World is Cinderella's castle. The beautiful castle you see with fireworks and music at the beginning of every Disney movie. It was a big moment when we first set foot on main street and saw Cinderella's castle standing tall right before our eyes. The kids were in awe, I think it's a magical moment no matter how many times you go to Disney World! One of the things that was a highlight of our last trip was Samantha's appointment at the Bippity Boppity Boutique. There are two locations at Disney World, one at Downtown Disney, and one in Cinderella's castle at the Magic Kingdom. They have several packages to choose from, and it can get pricey if you wish to have the full princess makeover. It was worth the money though, it was Samantha's favorite part of the trip, and she can't wait to go back this trip! It is always important to make reservations far in advance for the Bippity Boppity Boutique, spots fill up quickly!
She took her job as a princess very seriously!
She was too shy to meet any of the real princesses our last trip, but now that she is older, she has decided to meet them all this time, and is very excited about it. Those glass slippers fogged up in the Florida heat, and I had to talk her into wearing her tennis shoes the next day with her dress. And a warning to moms, there will be glitter everywhere after a trip to the BBB, the pixie dust stayed with us for the rest of the trip, but we didn't mind, it was part of the fun.
On to the party!
I stayed way under budget on this party, I only spent $7.00, on a tablecloth, plates, napkins, and ribbon. The rest were things we already had. It worked out perfectly as fall has arrived and I have all my pumpkins out. Since Samantha has outgrown her Cinderella dress and shoes from the BBB, we used them for props instead.
Here is what was on the menu, Carriage Pumpkin Pie, Bippity Boppity Brew (Cherry 7up, or any punch you want to make, we kept it simple and cheap!) , Magic Spell cupcakes, and for dinner the kids decided on a Royal dinner, of turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans and rolls. I forgot to take pics of the dinner portion!
We made sure to have our clock strike midnight, so the carriage would turn back into a pumpkin, and we could have our pumpkin pie!
Sami's favorite furry friend Pamu, (half panda, half shamu) even got dressed up for this party!
Thanks for stopping by our countdown to Disney! I will return with my fall mantel and a 20 day countdown party. Have a magical day!
