~A Christmas Tour & Vignettes~

Since it is already two weeks until Christmas (can you believe that?!!), I thought I would make one big post of most of my Christmas this year in case I get too busy to make another post before the big day.  I am hoping to make a few more before then  though, we will see how it goes. I have really been enjoying seeing everyone's homes decorated for the holidays. Thank you to everyone who left me such sweet comments on my last post, I truly appreciate them.

On to the tour, we will start in the living room by the fireplace,

If you would like to see more of the mantel, you can see my post  HERE.

I found these large mercury balls at The White Rabbit in St. Louis, love that store! You can visit their shop by clicking HERE. They also have a blog you can follow on my side bar.

When I put this vignette together I felt something was missing, so I added some old hymnal sheet music to the pillar candles. I love how it turned out, and it was easy and free.

I found this banner at Three French Hens. I almost didn't buy it because the letters were bright red, but I bought it anyway and went over the letters with a black permanent marker, it worked great! I then added some ribbon to the ends.

Lowes has been impressing me this year! First I found the gorgeous boxwood wreath above my fireplace there, and then I also found this super soft and cozy throw blanket, and cedar mixed fresh garland there. My kids loved the blanket so much I had to go back to get another one.

I didn't realize my kids things were peeking out of the coffee table baskets until I edited this picture! That is real life for you! Ha! And why I do love these baskets under the coffee table, they make great storage pieces.

My husband found the two reindeer for me at a hospital gift shop! I never would have thought to find something like that there. I think I shall declare Christmas 2012 at The Fancy Shack the year of the reindeer, since they seemed to find their way into the displays this year. I love them.

This tree use to be a very blah brown, I bought it years ago for a fall tree. Two cans of off white spray paint later, it is now a gorgeous white tree. I painted the base with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White.

The nativity and mercury ornaments are from The White Rabbit.

Here are some pictures of my half finished dining room. I still need to paint the walls, refinish the table top, paint the base of the table, install new flooring, and I am going to do something new on the wall where I put the tobacco basket for now. This will all be in conjunction with our kitchen makeover in Feb., I am so anxious to get started on it, I even had to put a little bit of ASCP white paint on one of the kitchen cabinets just for a little test area today, I'm loving it. :)

I wanted some white bottle brush trees for this cloche, but only had green with red on hand. So I flocked the green and red with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White.

This is our third year doing Elf On The Shelf, our elf Buddy returned to us on Thanksgiving and has been keeping us entertained!
This week Samantha bought herself a girl elf and named her Diamond Snowflake. Now we have two elves to deal with! I have been loving all the Elf ideas on pinterest. Oh what did we ever do before pinterest?

Thanks for stopping by my home tour! I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!

Personally, if all website owners and bloggers made good content material as you did, the internet will likely be a lot more useful than ever before.

We have a large customer base of clients prepared to pay to display discrete adverts, contextually matched to the content of the page on high quality sites like yours, and this can be a great way to generate an income without compromising your website.

Please email me back if you would be interested in finding out more and I will send you a follow-up email outlining the opportunity in more detail.

I look forward to hearing from you shortly.
